Welcome to the Unofficial Art Page for the D'ni Guild of Writers! The GoW is an online community devoted to creating 3d worlds in the style of Cyan's Myst, for players to navigate in the online multiplayer game Uru. They craft Ages in the fabulous tradition of the D'ni people, "writing" them for explorers of all kinds to explore and enjoy. Hello, I wanted to explain two things:
1) What's wrong with URU Live? I'm trying to run it from my Windows 8.1 laptop but I get a server error upon Launch.
2) Today, I figured out that Ages make a great type of outlet for original art. Although I've never used Blender, it feels great in making original things as D'ni Ages. Perhaps I'll have some drawings of them soon.

1) Don't know. Haven't been on it in a while. They might be having server issues. You also might need to run it in compatability mode... it wasn't designed for Windows 8.1.
2) And yes, Ages are a wonderfully original way to express Art. I've dabbled in design myself. Theroetically it's possible for an artist with ideas to get a partnership with a Blender artist who knows how to realize them, but most Blender artists are fair artists in their own right and are more interested in expressing their own ideas.

According to the dialog box, I saw a message: "Logins are currently restricted", so there's nothing wrong with my Laptop at the moment. It's set for XP compatibility pack 3, though. In any case, server issues are what's happening. At least I have Complete Chronicles from GOG.com - the CDs I have are too old.
